Wish me luck. I’m going to try to get an addendum gig doing what I do so love to do the most: be a grammar Nazi. The glorious hubby hooked me up with a job req that (hopefully) will help me get into editing and publishing, which I’ve only been wanting to do ever since I realized that I just can’t write anymore. I can write technical stuff, self-help, things like that, but when it comes to fiction, I think I have bad roots.
Also, as soon as I find the cable to my scanner, I’ll show you the first couple of drawings of the Fluffy Bunny Tarot. Joe says it’s the best work he’s ever seen out of me, and I think, “You never saw my early stuff,” but, in all fairness, it’s pretty awesome. It’s definitely better than most of the work I’ve seen in other tarot decks… and how sad is that?!? Even the companion volume is coming pretty naturally. I don’t know if I’ll have it in me to do the Cartoon Tarot after this, or if this is the final form of that early concept.
Joseph just started pre-school at home! He’s doing so good, very enthusiastic, just as they always are, but his stubborn streak has him shutting off as soon as he hits something he doesn’t know, and that’s not great. (Wow, what a run-on sentence that was!) Yesterday, it was defining Same Versus Different. He just seized up. I think he’s not quite as telepathic as my other kids are, so I guess I have to come up with a more physical way to teach him. He certainly is an incredible challenge – one that I’m very grateful for.
Now, I must go dunk my head so that I can be ready when Joe gets home for lunch. We must ride in search of furniture for the Nana.
